Annual Charity Golf Day

With many new faces and more sponsors, the 2008/09 Fresh Visions golf day was a huge success. Held at Redlibbets Golf Club, near Sevenoaks, a fantastic £7,500 was raised for the charity.

Twenty four teams participated, all aiming to win one of the competitions, including the elusive £10,000 prize for a hole in one. The winning team on the day were Churchill Hui) and the best player was Mark Smith, not surprisingly from the same team. Competition was also rife for the longest drive (won by Steve Snell from Invicta Tools) and nearest the pin (won by Rod Ismay from the Post Office Team). Sadly, no one won the £10,000!

The main sponsor was Axis, but our thanks goes to all the partner organisations and contractors (see list below) who gave us the largest amount of sponsorship we have ever received! Also thanks must go to the many local companies and historic venues that provided tickets and prizes which were used in the raffle.

Russ Williams entertained our guests at dinner. An extremely talented auctioneer, Russ brought with him and sold amazing signed photographs of top sportsman – the photograph of Tiger Woods sold for an astonishing £950!
